Holiday Villas at the Mar Menor Resort

Mar Menar Resorts stands out for its magnificently designed gardens with an abundance of flowerbeds, and palm and orange trees. Along the wide boulevards leading through the resort and bordering the resort's own golf course, a community of vacation homes has been carfully established: The villas blend perfectly into the natural environment and reflect the architectural character of the south-east of Spain - fresh and comfortable.

We offer two types of Mar Menar residences for hire, the Villa Isla Barón and the Villa Isla Ciervo. All villas have a high quality finish. Villa Isla del Barón, for example, has a marble bathroom and shady pergola's and gardens. In some cases the villas come with private swimming pool.

The villas have been, where possible, designed in traditional Spanish style and are luxurious. The bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning but central heating has been provided for those rare chilly winter evenings. There is a fixed barbeque and all villas have one or more porches or balconies. You will find amongst others a fully fitted kitchen, living- and dining room and satellite television.

Villa Isla Barón and Villa Isla Ciervo

Villa Isla Barón is a beautiful three bedroom villa (with airco) has one en-suite bathroom and another separate bathroom on the ground floor. In addition there is a spacious living- and dining room and kitchen. Outside you can enjoy the private garden and (sun-) porches with pergola.

The second type of villa 'Isla Ciervo' has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Otherwise it is identical to the Baron and built and equipped to the same qualitystandard. It also has airconditioning in the bedrooms, central heating for those chilly winternights, The villa also contains an outside BBQ, swimming pool and a complete furnished kitchen. Some of these villas have been adapted for the physically challenged.

Mar Menor Resort & Golf Club

Mar Menor Resort is situated on the Costa Calida, the warm coast of Spain. It is only a 5 minute drive from the Mediterranean sea and situated near the Mar Menor, an inland sea, separated from the Mediterranean by a 22 km peninsula called the La Manga del Mar Menor. Here one can find the real Spain; none of the hectic foreign tourist activity and superficial lifestyle to be found here.

The resort perimeter is fenced off, offering privacy and seclusion. In addition there is 24 hour security presence and entrance control. The boulevards leading the visitor around the resort are wide, crossing through numerous green areas with shrubbery and trees which in turn surround the beautiful par 35 9 hole golf course.

Mar Menor Golf Club

The Mar Menor Resort golfclub boasts a drivingrange and chipping greens, as well as a golf sports shop. Here you can enjoy year round golfing with no waiting times, as membership is limited to those in residence in the resort, and at an affordable greenfee.

The designer of this golf course, Dave Thomas, incorporated the ancient orange orchard found here in the overall layout of the 2 800 meter long course. Dream Spots members are issued with a membership card, allowing them a 40% discount on all the facilities on offer.
